Gillian Maher is a native of Carlyle, Saskatchewan. After discovering the joys of old tyme and metis fiddle music at the John Arcand Fiddle Festival, she discovered Celtic music and hasn't looked back! She's studied in Saskatchewan, Ireland and last year... with Natalie Macmaster.

This is Gillian's second year teaching at the Kitchen Party. She is also instructing at the Kid's Kitchen Party, providing leadership for young players.

Gillian has toured Saskatchewan with several of her friends with an inspirational school show and played with the Saskatoon Junior Symphony Orchestra.

She is currently living in Regina and teaching fiddle at Music in the House.
